A judge never takes a case behind the bench as a joke there kid.Do judges take cases without lawyer for a joke?
Nah, but it certainly helps to have someone to represent you. If you qualify financially, the court can have a public defender represent you for free.
If you're really nervous, and you know you weren't in the wrong, write the judge a letter. Dress professional, act professional, arrive early, and always respond with a ';Yes, Your Honor'; to anything they say. Also, if you did anything wrong, don't try to get around it, that's a quick way to piss a judge off. Admit you were wrong, but give the judge a reason to go easy on you.Do judges take cases without lawyer for a joke?
Most judges do not look forward to hearing cases in which one side is unrepresented because such trials tend to be ugly. The non-lawyer most often simply does not know how to present a case and the lawyer has to keep objecting to the mistakes. They do not take it as a joke but pay close attention.
