Ok. I'm duscussingDuscuss two supreme courts cases concerning suffrage?
The ones involving blacks or women come to my mind first. I think that in the past, you had to own land to vote too. I don't know if this law was just changed without much trouble or if the supreme court had to get involved. You should probably try to do some research and find out. This would be an interesting topic. Your teacher/professor is probably sick of the same old black and woman thing. You could probably score some browny points by doing something a little different like suffrage for people who aren't land owners. You'd probably get a better grade if you did this. I think you also had to be able to read at one time in order to vote too, so suffrage for the illiterate would be a unique topic as well.
