What are ';retaliatory'; cases ?

In terms of lawsuits, what are ';retaliatory'; / ';retaliation'; cases ?

Is this an official category of lawsuits in law ?

Are they the same as ';compensation'; cases ?What are ';retaliatory'; cases ?
Retaliatory cases are cases that are brought against someone because they brought a case against another. Basically, it's a revenge thing. It's against the law to have them and if a judge figures out that that's what it is, it will be thrown out of court.

A compensation case is where you recover monies or property lost from someone who has wronged you.
