No, this happens in India, because most people from that country fall into two categories:





1.) Ignorant


2.) Hypocritical





That country should not be considered democratic, its a mockery of democracy and I am tired of some people acting like India is so wonderful and that India culture is sooooooooo great. Its not great, its disgusting and on par with how animals act.





A country where ';educated'; people set their wives on fire when they dont like the dowlry they brought to the marriage. A country where people are soooooo superstitious that you can be pulled apart in the streets by an angry mob who accuses you of being a werewolf.





A country where ';educated'; men engage in some pretty violent gang rapings of innocent women, just because they can. A country which makes the victim feel suicide is the only answer, rather than real justice.





A country where all the authorities can be bribed at any time, and where all suspected criminals can be gunned down willy nilly and denied due process which is supposed to take place in a ';democratic society';.





A country which excludes men, women, and children from entire neighborhoods, because they are not members of the right caste, thus those people are forced to live in slums.





A country which would shut down a school cafeteria and make death threats against the people serving the lunches, because they belonged to the lowest caste referred to as ';the untouchables';, and therefore ';educated'; parents were outraged that such people of low birth were allowed to touch their childrens food.

Most rapes go unreported - and they were only tabulating reported rapes. This means the actual numbers are far higher. Cases of spousal rape were probably completely ignored.

Well, I'm pretty damn sure there were more than 78 rape cases in Jordan last year.
Well, that is the absolute number of rape cases.
